The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam result was published on Thusday, December 30th in the morning. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina announced the result via video conference of SSC and equivalent examination. An online press conference by the education minister was held later in the noon. Though the college admission 2022 process is yet to start.

The online College admission 2022
The online college admission 2022 process may start on 16th June and end on 17th July. Students aspiring to get admitted to any college can do an online pre-registration. A student can choose up to 10 colleges of his/her own choice at a time. Previously which were 5.
The board then decides, according to the students’ merit and their choice list, which college he or she may get admitted to. For the last few years, this is the general admission process for college students.Though many renowned colleges like Notre Dame, has their own regulations when it comes to college admission, this time, everything is at a stop.
Education minister Dr. Dipu Moni announced that – ‘All colleges, including colleges that have special admission regulations, should maintain the new rules that are provided for their admission activities due to COVID-19.’ Whatever process they may follow, college admission 2022 is delayed until the unforeseeable time.
A publication of result like never before
During this COVID-19 situation, many things are not going to work as before. Just like the publication of this time SSC result. It is the first time in Bangladesh’s history, the result was sent to students’ parents’ mobile phones via text messages. This system was availed by doing a pre-registration of the candidates. This situation is new to the students; the unprecedented college admission 2022 will also be new to all.

The HSC Admission statistics
Along with knowing information about college admission 2022, we should also know about the result of the SSC exam this year. The passing rate of this year is 83.75 percent. It is 82.51 percent in madrasa board and 72.70 percent in vocational board. A total of 82.34 percent of students have passed the exams under Dhaka Board, and 36,047 students got GPA-5 in Dhaka board. Students from the Dhaka board are the highest in getting GPA-5.
A total of 84.75 percent student passed under Chattogram, 85.22 percent in Cumilla, 79.70 percent in Barishal, 78.79 percent in Sylhet, 82.73 percent in Dinajpur, 87.31 percent in Jashore, 80.13 percent in Mymensingh, and 90.37 percent in Rajshahi Board. You will be glad to know that 9,008 students got GPA-5 in Chattogram, 10,245 in Cumilla, 4,483 in Barishal, 4,263 in Sylhet, 7,434 in Dinajpur, 13,763 in Jashore, 26,167 in Rajshahi and 12,086 in Mymensingh. All these statistics are good sign for the students.

Final Words
After the online process is done, a student still needs to go to college to fill out some paperwork. As this contradicts with the current social distancing rules, this task is at a halt. Keeping all the regulations in mind, the education ministry has decided to postpone the college admission 2022 process until the situation is back at normal.
